School Dinner

Grey coloured potatoes
like plasticene
slices of meat
without any lean
a thing in the gravy
like a brown submarine.
Cheese, fur-coated
in brilliant green.
A fly on a sandwich
filled with sardine.
Custard, thick and yellow
(looks like iodine).
A cold plate -
white and greasy
with a left-over bean.

Ugh!
Pass the tuna-flavoured crisps.
